Basic Mindful Yoga & iRest Inspired Meditation
This Basic Yoga Class brings focus to the Breath to assist the mind/body connection for increasing skills to manage stress and the disconnect that can occur after trauma. This yoga, specifically designed for practice in military communities, returns a sense of personal control to issues such as insomnia, anxiety and depression. Regular practice is shown to increase ability to manage daily life situations without reacting inappropriately or aggressively or disconnecting through isolation.
Each class is followed by a 20-30 minute period of guided meditation through deep relaxation, a connection to the energy of the mind and body moving through felt sensation and awareness.
Adaptive postures are always available to include every level of ability to participate
