Domestic Violence Awareness Day at VA Butler Healthcare

Wear Purple to Support Domestic Violence Awareness Month

What: As part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, VA Butler Healthcare will have an information table available with resources about Domestic Violence (DV) and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). VA Butler staff will also be available to answer questions and provide additional information. All are encouraged to wear purple this day as well to show support.

Who: Veterans, family members, volunteers, and VA staff

When: Monday, October 23, 2017—8:00am-12:00pm

Where: VA Butler Health Care Center, Main Entrance Lobby; 353 N. Duffy Road, Butler, PA 16001

Background: Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is a serious, preventable public health concern affecting many Veterans, their partners, and families. This October, the VHA Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program, Care Management and Social Work, leads the observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month to raise awareness among Veterans, their partners and caregivers and VHA staff.
