VA Butler Healthcare To Host First Healthy Living Recognition Event
30 Local Veterans To Be Recognized for Healthy Living Achievements
What: VA Butler’s first Healthy Living Recognition Event will recognize Veterans for successes made toward making healthy living choices resulting in positive outcomes (i.e., improved cholesterol, blood sugar control, weight loss, tobacco cessation, etc.).
Information on VA’s healthy living programs such as MOVE!, My HealtheVet, and Tobacco Cessation will be available for all attendees. In addition, VA Butler’s “Nutrition Kitchen” Chef will showcase ways for Veterans to eat wisely with a live food demonstration and food samplings. Light refreshments will be served.
Who: All are invited to attend—Veterans, family, friends, employees, volunteers, and the community

Background: The Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Program at VA Butler Healthcare is teaching Veterans how to live a healthier lifestyle today and in the future through VA programs such as MOVE! (Weight Management Program for Veterans), My HealtheVet, Tobacco Cessation, Telephone Lifestyle Coaching, Nutritional Services, and much more.
